Tours

We are very excited to welcome symposium attendees to Central Wisconsin in 2026. We have an engaging and exciting program planned for you. Below you can read more details. 

Tour Option #1 - Visit a compost facility, wastewater treatment plant, and farm northwest of Stevens Point. Includes a packed lunch. 

Tour Option #2 -  Travel north to visit a raptor rehabilitation center, composting site, landfill, and dairy farm. Includes a packed lunch.

Tour Option #3 - Visit a farm, landfill, agri-food byproducts processor, and dairy farm east of Stevens Point. Includes a packed lunch.

Welcome Banquet 

Join with symposium attendees as we join for a Welcome Banquet 

Hosted at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point, enjoy a plated meal together. Select from one of the following dishes:

  • ​Italian sausage lasagna, 

  • Baked cod, or 

  • Vegetable penne primavera.

Demo Day at Food + Farm Exploration Center

Following breakout sessions in the morning, buses will take participants to the Food + Farm Exploration Center for afternoon for lunch, demonstrations, and outdoor exhibitions. 

The Food + Farm Exploration Center is a place for people to connect to food and the people who grow it. Through interactive, state of the art exhibitions, the public learns about how our food is grown today using advanced technologies and applied research findings to advance our food systems to meet today's societal needs. Our Outdoor Exhibitors and Demonstrations will be set up at the Food + Farm Exploration Center for a day to remember. Enjoy connecting with colleagues, exploring the center, and learning through hands-on demonstrations.

Emergency Exercise & Farewell

A favorite activity offered at this event each time. Engage in a applied emergency response simulation activity with other conference attendees. This simulation is designed to prepare professionals on the frontline of emergency response as it related to animal mortality management. Walk away more prepared and skilled in your practice.
